A resort is an accommodation facility where all entertainment and services are on the premises. As opposed to hotel where often there is only a restaurant and pool on site, resorts have all kinds of entertainment on site. A good example of a resort would be the ones in Disneyland.

a resort is a big hotel that offers more then a simple hotel, you can find in a all the needed stuff for your relaxation and fun.
usually a resort is located in touristic places: on the beach,in the mountains...

at resort, u go to relax and not need anything from outside, everything is found at the resort.
