I mean something solid, not something a radical group has written I have heard that there are now over 800 facilities ready to take in illegals. Is this long term, short term....Is there anything in the ICE documents that would support this? I would like to have information that was written by the government about this. Any links?

gidget - he asked NOT to get something from a radical group. I think the picture of the Nazi uniform might have been a clue that this was radical.

Sorry, I don't have a link. I did see stuff, but only scattered. Sheriff Joe in Arizona has a tent city, and so forth, but they are woefully short of detention space, that is one of the problems. I understand they are building some in the south on an army base that would be specifically designed to keep families together, however I read that a while back. My understanding is that most specifically illegal immigrant intended detention space is just for a holding period prior to deportation (short term). Bush is saying we can get the time down to 20 days between apprehension and sending back those other than Mexicans, but the time we are making now is longer.

Generally, they are just put in jails at this point.

Wow Gidget-that is some information. Thanks

Why it would cost that much I wonder. When we made room for Katerina victims it didn't cost that much for months.
And they had buildings too.

Sorry to take your post-but we hear so little of what you asked-it was a interesting question. and Gidget-thanks again.

Thanks Dar-that was information too. Wish there were an easier way-to sort this mess out.

bc they're coming to take us away... oh, no! but the libs plan on being very good to us! are going to be giving us cottages for weekend visits w/ loved ones, a toastmaster's club, a gym, fresh veggies out of our own garden, individualized menus, legal access, a nice library filled w/ literature from all over the world, a prayer chapel and new prayer hymnals, college degrees, free dental work, instead of cement floors, we're getting exotic persian rugs, sex changes upon demand, gay marriages performed on-site, a super-sized Lavender-filled courtyard to frolic in, medical marijuana and lots of group therapy. heck, we might even be assigned a horse or, a dog for both our emotional development and self-esteem building. i heard they're going to treat us like human beings and follow our individualized care plans to a tee so that they never hurt our feelings by saying something un-PC. oh, i'm sry, i was just told all of that is only for the prisoners being brought in from gitmo. - sry i don't know what they have planned for us.....
