Yes sure, as the other lady said opposites attract.
Just make sure that the dating period is rather long( 2-3 yrs) before there is any sort of commitment.

It is a very interesting concept and I will tell you that yes it will work better than two people that are alike and share the same interest. It is close to 92% perfect.

As long as there's a mutual respect for each other's ways (lifestyle, personality, etc.) and you get along fine then there should be no problem. If there's going to be tension and fights between one another then it'd could be a bad idea.
