It all depends...you might also want to look into a mazda 6 or maybe a toyota corrola, Honda's resale value isn't that great compared to the rest, but they are nice first cars, do a quick search on carmax.com and that will give you some idea of what to look for with price range. Also, look on the Honda website for Certified Pre Owned. Hope you have fun with your new wheels!

Hondas are EXCELLENT vehicles. I drive a Honda CRV (small SUV), put on 50,000 miles in 2.5 years, and haven't had one problem. I got it used with 56k miles on it.
You could get a five-year-old Civic with about 50k miles for $8-9000, around where I am. Good fuel economy, too.
Colour doesn't really matter, state of the engine does.
Other reliable cars: Toyotas in general (especially corolla).
Unreliable: American cars, like Ford and GMC. Sports cars also tend to have problems quickly.

Toyota- I swear by them, Honda is good too, and Nissan is ok.
Black shows scratches, red is more expensive to insure, white looks generic, silver blends in on a cloudy day. I would go tan, blue, or green- toyota tans are very classy, honda does well with these tones too.
The price really depends on sooooo many things, how old, style, on and on. You could get a three yr old lexus for 25, 000 (thats a toyota FYI) or you could go with a corolla at 5yrs old and spend less than 5 grand- depends greatly. SUV is another story - then theres vans, etc - ya gotta weed down your choice a bit more to find a ballpark amount. Or find a ball park amount and get what fits.
Good luck!

Actually, for reliability, Toyota ranks up there as number one. They last forever, which is important , especially if you are getting a used vehicle. As far as how much ANY car should cost (or is worth) it depends on the make, model, year and condition of the car. When you see a car you like, check the Kelly Blue Book to see its value. There is an online version..

As far as color , that is a personal choice. Good luck in your first car purchase.

Early 90s Honda Civics & Accords and Toyota Camrys are known to last for a very long time. Expect to pay $3,000-5000 for one, depending on its condition.

One great thing about Japanese cars is that (as we say), "their bodies will rust off before their engines die." Civics are good cars, as are Toyotas. But like any car, have a mechanic check it out first. Lots of times, the person selling it will let you take it to a shop to get checked out, as well as appraised. Then you'll learn if the car's even worth what's being asked, as well as how much you'll need to invest in its current need of repairs.

used, probably 2500-3000, i guess it depends on what year you want. White is best, because it doesn't show dirt and dings as bad, but silver is more fassionable. good luck
