Lightning is electricity. Very high voltage and very high amperage. We use the name electricity when talking about controlled electrical currents and the word lightning for natures electrical activity. Nature produces more energy in a lightning storm than man does to power the machines we use.

You don't need a licence to fiddle with lightning, but you need a license to fiddle with electricity ? yet the fiddler won't be on the roof when there is lightning, but he can still fiddle if there is no electricity..

Lightening is the result of static electricity in the sky due to friction of clouds and it can not be stored,heat generated in so high that it can kill livings as well as burn flamables. Electricity which we use is formed either by water sources,coal,neclear,wind, tides,biogas etc. and we can use it for many purposes.
