god isn't real because that name is just there to fill in the incomplete pieces of life like why are we here since we don't know many say god why? because we are just mere humans we dint know much and to find answers to things if we don't find a logical explanation in this planet we just fill that space with the name of god. the name of god was invented and is used by church to make a profit with that name. There's no god the symbol of god exists to try to explain what no one can and that's life itself its not easy when you worship an idea that's not proof all you ever see or hear is name but no proof of it. Man created god to fill in the blanks. Anything they didn't understand? God did it. They still do it today, just look at intelligent design. The entire idea of that is "ok, we understand *some* of how life came to be, let's just fill in the rest with god".I still believe it would be better if we could just admit we don't know. Its all faith but no facts we use god to answer things that we cant. it's impossible for god to be all-loving AND all-powerful, and still allow people to go to hell.
think about it. why doesn't god let EVERY SINGLE person into heaven. it's either because he CAN'T (not all-powerful) or he doesn't WANT to (not all-loving). there's no other reason why people would have to go to hell.

(another contradiction at the core of christianity,,,, how can man have freewill if god is the one who determines every single aspect of the universe??? think about it. the two ideas cannot co-exist.)So bassically theres no god just the idea of one nothing else.

a giant slug would be cool

as far as evidence, I can see none other than the couple of books in the bible published by people too pussy to claim it as their own. I guess God is like their research head, and they need his name to publish those books so other people would believe it. And I guess that little attempt worked, those authors in the bible are famous now because they gave credit to God.

If god is at the center of the earth then it would mean that there is no heaven, which isnt bad either.

I hope u havent been bashed too much by all the religious extremists

Of course there is.

In a Christian point of view:

In the Bible Romans 1:20 said "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." Put it in simple word mean through nature, we can see the presence of God.

In a science point of view:

Of course there is God. A thing can not just appear by itself. For example: if you see a house on the side of the road, in science, you know that the house doesn't appear there by itself, someone or something must had created it. Same thing as this world. Someone must had created it with a great power and also put it in the right order.

With a even more solid proof. People had discover sea life fossil up on high mountain top. what does that mean? That mean that this world was once flooded and the sea level have reach all the way up to the mountain top. That is just some proof that what the bible said is true.

One of the most important evidence in a court of law is testimonies from witnesses, so out of all the testimonies I have heard and read in the many books I would say yes there is substantial evidence that God isn't a giant slug. You cant fight a witness, you cant tell them that something happening to them didn't happen. Sure make up all the excuses in the world for why they believe that way, but they have had an experience you haven't

Well, actually, yes. Giant slugs don't contain within themselves all the elements that make up the universe and so probably can't be God.

You know...if you're honestly questioning things and wondering where it all came from I suggest two things. First, meditate in your heart on truth, what it is and how to recognize it. The second, check out some quantum theory books - they can be a lot of fun to help expand your world.

Good luck to ya!

Many Blessings,

you know guy's there are so many people on here that want to know about God, either cos their curious or cos their bored, nonetheless there is still some curiosity within everybody to find out some more info about this God thing, but if you really want to know, why not go to church, as a christian, please forgive me but i don't understand what prevents you all. i suggest all those who have queries about God, not only post you're questions here, (there's nothing wrong with that) but do something more, bible reading notes, use the Internet, go on a christian holiday, spend some time getting to know some Christians or other religious people without constantly asking questions etc. it is so difficult to answer such questions because they are never clear cut.
Go on find out some more info, you know you want to..........

Plenty of evidence of God's hand on Earth is existant each day and night; the challenge, if you're up to it, is to make the efforts to DISCOVER such events and efforts made by Him.

God is different to everyone, and if you believe he looks like that, then alrighty then.
Although, God does have a spiritual figure and form that is somewhat similar in each of our minds.
