Christians does not know that the Muslim does not take the holy name of Jesus, in there own language, without saying Eesa, alaihi assalam ("Jesus, peace be upon him")
The Christian does not know that in the Holy Qur'ân Jesus is mentioned twenty five times. For example:
"We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear signs and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit" (The Holy Qur'ân 2:87)
"O Mary! God giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary..." (3:45)
"...Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of god..." (4:171)
"...And in their foot steps we sent Jesus the son of Mary..." (5:46)
"And Zakariya and John, and Jesus and Elias: all in the ranks of the righteous." (6:85)

Please come to the TRUE WORD OF GOD called Al Qur'an.
Remember
There is no god but Allah, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the last messenger of Allah.

That is true.
They wont even believe that 2+2=4, if you will say them they will answer you that it is not 4 it is 5 or 3.

this must be in response to my question about the quran.
I do know how you feel about Jesus. every single Christian in America knows what you think of Jesus.
now as for the "peace be on him" part, that's pointless. I could say, you know Mickey Mouse (peace be on him) if I said that a hundred times a day, you would think that was really his name. but it isn't.
you can mention Jesus a thousand times, but if you get it wrong every time, what's it good for? the Christian Bible mentions Satan a lot, but we sure don't respect him....
and really, spamandham made a good point. if Jesus was not the Messiah, why does Mohammad call Him Jesus Christ? did he not know what the Christ part meant?

and lastly, my other friend before me was right. calling Jesus a simple prophet doesn't cut it. every book in the New Testament revolves around one singular thought: that Jesus is the Son of God. if He is not the Son of God, then everybody's lying. and if every record of Him is a lie, how can you call Him a prophet?

There is no God but Jehovah, and Jesus is His Son. I am sorry, I just had to,

and lastly, for real, I never got an actual answer to my question.

Christians believe in the Word of God and in God. You have a right to believe that the Al Qur'an is the true Word of God, and Christians have a right to believe that the Bible is the true Word of God.

The only problem I see in Muslims--or anyone else, for that matter--calling Jesus a prophet and a good man is this: Jesus said He was the Son of God. He said He was going to Heaven to prepare a place for us to live. He said He and the Father God are one.

So if He said all those things, either they were true or they weren't. If they were true, then He was God as He said and you should believe in Him. If they were not true, He was a liar and a fake and you should not call him a prophet or a good man: prophets and good men don't lie and fake.

But where was the question in what you posted?

I can hardly believe you posted my favorite passage from the Qu'ran.

Read what you posted a bit more closely:

"...Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of god..." (4:171)

Notice two things. First, "(no more than)" is a paranthetical added by the translators and it has a totally different meaning if you omit it.

More importantly is this; the Qu'ran acknowledges the title "Christ" as applied to Jesus! "Christ" is not Jesus' last name, but is a title that means "annointed", and is a claim of Messiahship. The Qu'ran inadvertently acknowledges that Jesus has the same role that Christians claim he has.

I have a bag of popcorn, and anxiously await the Christian/Muslim smack down that is sure to follow.

You're right, most Christians don't know that Jesus is revered in Islam, although you don't believe he was the Messiah or divine.

Do you realize that Islam is a syncretism of Christianity, Judaism and pagan deity worship? But back to the prophets that you revere.

Jesus performed miracles. Muhammed didn't.

Jesus was the most pure one according to your Qur'an. Muhammed wasn't.

Jesus didn't die and was taken up to heaven by Allah according to the Qur'an. Muhammed died - and do you not believe everyone (except Jesus) goes to hell initially? If so, Muhammed is or was in hell.

Jesus raised people from the dead. Muhammed didn't.

Jesus predicted His death and Resurrection. He also predicted that the temple of Jerusalem, a truly huge structure, would be completely torn down within a generation. The Romans did this in AD 70. Muhammed, the prophet, prophesied that he would return to Medina.

How many people do you think would follow Islam if they weren't totally rejected, beaten or threatened with death?

Actually doesn't Allah mean god in arabic? If it does then sh*t, it makes more sense. Jesus & Mohammad were just 2 different prophets and both were right & both spread pretty much the same message. Makes A LOT of sense out of something so senseless as religion. It still doesn't make it true though, you know that right? All you can hope for is a unified religion bet muslims & christians that way the religion that results will make more sense.

Christians are very aware that you respect Jesus... but you only respect Him as a Prophet, no different from Muhammad or Moses... thats where we sepperate.

We agree that Jesus did prophecy but we believe He was more than that... the Son of God, God in the flesh of man. This is a bit more important than one of hundreds of Prophets.

If you believe Jesus was a prophet why don't you listen to what He taught?

John 14:6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 3:1616For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 8:58Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

John 7:37On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

John 11:25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

It would not be logical for Jesus to have been a mere prophet, for Jesus claimed to be equal and one with God. This leaves us with only three logical possibilities:

1. Jesus was a liar,
2. Jesus was insane or
3. Jesus was actually God incarnate.
