It's all a big hoax. I saw a television special on how "magicians" pull off some of their biggest stunts, and what is shown on his taped performances and his "real" performances are completely different. The levitation in real person is a light trick of the foot in which he appears to levitate only a few inches above the ground. Where as the television one edits in a fake levitation with the wires and keeps the reactions from people on the streets. There are other explanations as well, but I cant find the information for mine but I have the proof there was such a show. Sorry to disappoint you.

It's all by cables. The camera recorded 2 separate sessions of the spectators. One recording was with Angel being pulled up without the spectators present. Another recording was taken with just the spectaotrs gasping at his other tricks. They then merge the 2 recordings and make it seem like the spectators were gasping at his levitation trick.

I haven't been able to figure out how Chris Angel does some of his stuff, which really distresses me, but if I had to guess I would say microwires and an overhead crane apparatus of some kind. I only see him on TV, so there's no way to tell what's going on off camera, plus I know he uses paid extras to gawk in disbelief at his illusions to make it seem all the more real to the viewers at home.

There's many recorded instances of people who could levitate throughout history. You just have to push the gravity out of your feet.

Very simple, satanic influence. The devil can copy God's miracles with false wonders as he did in pharoahs time and will continue to do. He will give power to anyone who sells out for him willingly or by selfish ambition.

It's magic! (No, it doesn't actually occur. Like the first answerer said, it's only an illusion.)
