It may seem so--I didn't go out on my first date or get kissed for the first time until after I was 18. But don't sweat it!!!! You will experience both soon enough, and it won't all be good. All these kids around you who have had experience with kissing and dates and we all know possibly what else, they still don't know what they're doing. You keep your virgin lips, trust me!!

Society has strange ways of doing things over a time and again till they become socially acepatable. This slowly translates into "social norm" that becomes a rule,so to say, which governs and controls, whoever comes after it's fixed.
Failure to abide to it results in what I call "social guilt". This however is not a ground to institute "proceedings" against you. The fact that something has been accepted in society as a norm does not make it binding on us. Not to have been on a date or received a kiss at 17 should not raise dust. On the other hand, there some things that have been around for a while until, society overlooks their value and importance!! A kiss should not be given as a pass-time kind of an affair; since it's among other things, is used to show affection. The casual way in which it has been used has eventually made it look a different thing!!!
Though we are all human beings, we have different destinies and different ways of getting to that destiny. What others experienced or went through must not necessarily be the light-beacons to guide us along the path of our living. Thanks.
