YEAH RIGHT! How do you know "just" exercising and eating right doesn't work for you? Bet you haven't even committed to it for 2 days...BECAUSE "just" exercising and eating right DOES WORK!!!and if you had done that from the beginning you wouldnt need to lose weight in the 1st place.

Don't listen to Noname...that is just stupid. First of all, I don't know what you weigh so I don't know if you really have a weight issue or not. Secondly, excercising and eating right is the best and safest way to lose weight. The weight isn't going to melt away as soon as you start. It takes about 4 weeks for the results to start showing. Also, if you have a lot of stress in your life that can put a roadblock in the weight losing process so make sure to try to de-stress your life as much as possible. Just keep exercising and eating healthy and the weight will start to come off. I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep eating healthy and make sure you are getting enough vitamins and calcium because it is very important at your age.

P.S. I agree that swimming is a great way to lose weight. I was chubby when I was 13 too and I joined the high school swim team. Swimming works out the whole body and can be a fun way to exercise. After a few months on the team I really started to notice a difference.

It's so sad to hear all these young teens on Yahoo Answers asking for help in loosing weight like it's a necessity.
The reason I say this is because our society has molded our brains into thinking we need to look thin and sexy to be accepted by our peers.

Listen, if you want to lose weight, fine- there's nothing wrong with that. However, I don't feel that pressure to look good for others is a good reason for this because it will drive you crazy.

That being said, if you really want to look good then keep eating fresh healthy foods (no frozen crap) and jog 10 minutes a day (that's it!), and also try to spread your meals out over the course of the day into more smaller meals to increase your metabolism (this will make a huge difference). And lastly, try not to eat 2 hrs. before sleeping.

You're still very young. At your age, a certain amount of "baby fat" is healthy, and too much dieting and exercising can actually stunt your growth. Keep eating right and exercising, and you'll grow up just fine.

Talk to a doctor or a school nurse about your weight if you feel that it's really not working, and remember that proper long-term weight loss is gradual. The fast weight-loss programs that you hear about in ads never last long.

Swim!!! Swimming is a great sport. It quickly turns fat into muscle. And eat lettuce before meals because it will smoothens your intestines so that the food just slips down making it harder for your body to get the sugar and stuff.

Also don't eat Sweets right after a meal...it's like a death pill. Also try to walk for a while if you go out to a restaurant or something. When you get hungry eat fruit. Any fruit.

In the morning have a cup of fresh lemon juice mixed with water and a little sugar or splenda. This will do something to your acids in your body. (I guess it's good for you, my dad does it.) Wait about 2 hours, then eat breakfast.

Honestly you are only 13. I mean you should just try eating very healthy and excersizing all the time. Get yourself involved in a sport of some sort therefore you are not in the house all the time eating or being bored and wanting to eat! You should jog at leat a mile a day and do stomache crunches! go to the gym and be active. TRUST you will loose weight.

yes it will!!
your metabolism probally hasnt sped up yet. Keep at it!If you are thirteen you arent done growing, you'll probally get taller and someof that "baby weight" will naturally fall off. Keep eating right, stay away from the cheeseburgers and have thirty minutes of hardcore excersive everyday. run, jog, climb stairs, clean the house.

im trying to lose weight to and nonthing seems to be working i even tried to stop eating it didnt work i just got sick i dont know but im 13 to and i dont know what to do u tell me
