How long have you known this person? I mean, love is a strong word to use in the beginning of a relationship. But anywho... The only thing I can tell you is to wait it out and be strong. If you both work towards seeing each other, then things will be fine. Take it from me. My bf is in Washington State, and I'm in North Carolina. ;)

Follow your heart girl, I did my boyfriend is from Alabama and i'm here in California. But we decided that we could no longer be without each other. He proved his love to me when he came out to california the first time and then four months later, he's back for good. and now i'm so happy thank god i love him.
