If he gets hungry enough, he will eat!! Could he be cutting more teeth? Noone wants to eat when they have mouth pain...try some frozen fruit or something for him to suck on. Good luck with with everything, and get yourself a motrin, quick!!

Hi, firstly it sounds like you need a break, anybody you know who could take that gorgeous little boy I see in the avatar so you can have some restbite? Even a couple of hours.
I have 7 children, and obviously eating sleeping patterns differed and toyed with my patterns and anxiety levels too.
One of my children, Heidi (now 14) was the fussiest and hardest child to feed (or I thought at the time) and I was forever chasing her with this and that and everything in bid to get her to eat.
I expected her to eat the same as the others (pigs they were ;) and she was never a tubby baby like my others. She ate very little actually but with my constant chasing she did. I had to learn that they are all different and I had to learn that they will eat when hungry.
When I had my 6th child, I had a little Heidi double, Molly...
exactly the same eating patterns although there was also a cause behind her not eating I didn't chase the same.
I didn't stress the same.
I didn't allow myself to worry instead I changed the way I did it all.
At 1, expect lots of tantrums to get their own way. A one year old baby already knows how to get round his mum/nan/carer. Knows what makes you tick, smile and cry probably (my 7th taught me that) and they will play on it too.
Play the same game.
You know what makes him tick, what he likes and what he dislikes. Food wise you still have to learn as he tastes and if his first solid food was disliked it would put him off tempting solids again. So feed him what YOU know he likes even if a sweet like yogurt.
When know it isn't a health problem and it is a game to him, then remove the sweet/yogurt until eaten the meal.
It may take a few days for him to click to what you mean because of his age, but a one year old is not daft, he will learn as quickly as you teach him.

He may be constipated, which could cause alot of discomfort...and darn it, he couldnt tell you. If he's not having at least one healthy bowel movement a day, try giving him more water, applesauce, prunes. Cut down on breads and meats and sweets (all constipating).
BTW I bet this boy will be a real delight to you as he grows up. Seriously. Hang in there, nana. :)

He may not be ready for the texture of actually having to chew. If you push him, it's only going to make things worse. Try 3rd foods for awhile yet if he's really bad at trying regular table food.

Or, if he's cutting more teeth, no matter what you do he's going to fuss. It's probably painful for him to eat if he's teething. If so, I would switch back to 3rd foods and crackers for awhile.

My 2yo just went thro that really whinney and very difficult to deal with.. to me he looked extremly thin but his PED said hes fine.. at some stages they just get finiky and she offered me advice.. dont fight about meal time and offer a more varity of foods.. mayb he just doesnt wanta eat much like my boy did.. or he could still be cutting teeth if all his arent in yet. but i learned after MYSELF getting drivin NUTS by his odd behavior.. is More patience you loose with him the worst it will get. even if you get him just to eat a little .. its better then nothing.. 1st try his favorite foods.. like banannas or whatever he likes and increase it from there.. GOOD LUCK!
