Anal sex is the only sex that is mentioned in Leviticus as being a sin and it was mentioned in the same way that eating lobster and shrimp are mentioned. Also mentioned in the same book was no eating pork or rabbits. The texts in Leviticus and Deuteronomy where all concerned with sanitation and lack of refrigeration.
The other supposed occurrences of gay sex mentioned are taken out of context and where specifically talking about temple prostitution which was a form of Idolatry.
There are many instances where modern bible scholars have reinterpreted the bible to meet their own interpretations.
If you look at Young's literal translation it is the clearest translation out there.
the other option is to learn Hebrew and Greek and read the original bible as it was written.

Being gay is a sin as it says in The Holy Bible now having sex with the same sex that's like being gay so it is a sin. Have a nice day.

In the Bible it does stay that gay sex is a sin. Being gay is not a sin but that act of gay sex is.
I am in touch with my faith but I love to have sex with girls. I know it is wrong. I also know that someday I will settle down with a MAN and have a wonderful marraige. I will then confess my sins and ask for forgivness.

In the Bible it says that man shall not lay down with man and woman shall not lay down with woman. So yes, I would say that makes it a sin.
However, as it has been said here; this sin is not unforgivable.
Many people do more sinister and worse things to themselves and others; the question is do you think it is wrong?
If so, don't do it.

NO Homosexuality is not a sin. Only bible thumpers and religious fanactics want to believe that. God made all men icluding the gay ones. Love is love as well as sex is sex. Do you feel as if it is wrong? If so, you shouldn't. Don't let the Christian freaks get to you. Do what you feel is right.

Hey Alex,
If you are asking that question, you are asking it because it does not feel right because you have been taught it is not right. That has nothing to do with reality. I suspect you may be evangelical, if not you belong to some other more conservative religious group. I know I am a voice crying in the wilderness, but please listen.
I know all that you have been taught. It took me years and a seminary to be able to sort it out and know intellectually that it was wrong.
There is NOTHING wrong with you. *hug* you are exactly as you are supposed to be. You can hurt yourself, hide yourself, live celibately, or even marry and live a lie -- but you will never change.
Your real choice is not whether or not to be attracted to men. If what you say is true then you are attracted to men and you will be for the rest of your life. It's natural (see Bruce Bagemihl, Ph.D. "Biological Exuberance" St. Martins Press) and its normal for homosexual people (see the American Psychological Association and American Psychiatric Association statements on sexual preference) Your real choice is whether or not to be happy.
Right now you feel like your religion is telling you that you are evil, and you feel evil. When you masturbate you feel guilty for masturbating (you've been lied to by the way, nearly all males do masturbate) and you feel guilty for thinking about guys. You want to change, not because you want to, but because you have been taught that you SHOULD want to.
There is nothing wrong with you. Many Churches embrace you as you are (United Church of Christ [not Church of Christ, the United matters in the name] is one, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is another -- though they are not 100%, it is close; Protestant Episcopal Church is a third [again, not 100% of the parishes, but close], Metropolitan Community Church, Unitarians, Morelight Presbyterians, and on and on.) So don't think that the position your church takes is universal, it isn't.
I've included a few links below that may be of use to you. Unless you want to examine your faith itself, I do not recommend going to the site I maintain (its in my signature block). I have not been evangelical for a long time -- but that doesn't mean that I don't feel for you. The links in sources however may help you and I strongly suggest visiting them. There are also other books such as "Living in Sin? A bishop reexamines the question of human sexuality" by the Right Reverend John Shelby Spong, retired bishop of Newark (Episcopalian) -- but I doubt you can safely read books at home.
Looking for reasons that you might be gay so that you can have something to blame it on is common for kids who like you, have been taught bigotry, which you now are applying to yourself. If it were obvious that only male and female should mate, then there wouldn't be gay animals in nature, but there are -- and there is gay pair bonding among species with pair bonding at all -- tell me how animals made a choice or were nurtured into homosexuality? They didn't, they weren't -- they were homosexual to begin with. (see Dr. Bruce Bagemihl; Biological Exuberance; St. Martin's Press)
You are loved. God loves you, I love you. If you need to talk to someone who will not judge you -- ever -- email me, that's in the signature block too or IM me on the rare occasions I'm on YIM.
*hugs always*

I think that there is no straight answer to that (pardon the pun). It depends entirely on the perception of the individual. Like others have said, the bible is perceived to say it is a sin, though if you feel that it is moral or unmoral you should follow your own perception of it rather than have someone eses views impinted on you.

According to the Bible, yes it is. It's a sin for a man to lay with another man as he would with a woman.

depending on the religious path you are on, In religions like Paganism it is concidered a sacred union as much as the union of man and woman and not a sin, but in various others such as Christianity yes it is... but it all depends on what you believe and who you are and how you feel about it yourself.
