As far as I know, no. In steel the crystaline structure is all pointing the one direction. In cast iron they are all pointing in different directions.
I'm not 100 % sure, but I think that's right.

Steel is a type of metal. Casting can only be done with molten iron ore.

yes. steel can be used for casting.
the presence of ferrite makes it possible.
