Well, there really is a lot of information out there. Depending on the duration of your stay, I recommend to see the following, in decreasing order of importance
1) Schönbrunn palace
2) St. Stephen's Cathedral
3) Hofburg (Imperial Palace)
4) The Prater with the Giant Ferris Wheel
5) Museum of Art History, if you're into that
6) The Zoo
