It stays there until you dispute it off.

Or, if it is tied to a tradeline and that falls off, the address might fall off with it.

Sometimes old or incorrect addresses cannot be disputed off because of being tied to a tradeline.

My credit report shows every address I've ever lived at since I rented my first place. Actually, it misses a few from when I was in college but everything after that is listed. That is about 15 years worth of addresses.

Past addresses can stay on your reports indefinitely. If there are addresses that are NOT VALID, dispute them and they should come off. Keep in mind that disputing VALID addresses can run you the risk of having GOOD tradelines deleted when the address associated with them gets deleted.

My credit reports show almost all of my addresses. They all have my current address way wrong, and one has me still living in the dorm!
