I would sit them down and explain how you felt. It would be hard to do, but may be worth it in the long run. If you want to be accepted by this family, you need to let them know it.

No matter how they treat you be nice to them and not stoop to their level. Be helpful and complementary when you should. That might bring them around. He sounds like a mama's boy. You should be the most important person in his life if you have been together that long. If things do not change about him standing up for you you do not have to take it. You are not married to him. Maybe that is the problem with the family. Discus all issues with him. Good luck.

10 years relation is not easy to forget, so i can't suggest you to quit. Just be with him and i'm sure one day he will value your presence more than his family but don't nag him or tell him repeatedly that you are doing sacrifices , cos you also know you don't want to lose him , infact of all odds in him....i do agree men find hard to quit there families. but think about yourself , can't you be with someone else after being with him for 10 years. So life won't be good after quitting so just be where you are, and Trust your stars, things will get better.

I don't think that this is the man for you. If he can't even stand up to his family for you he is no man at all. I think that you need to tell him how you feel, if he doesn't do anything I would leave.

Keep in mind, this is his family. Even though you've been with him 10 years, they've been with him his whole life. But it is about time he start defending you. My husband and I have been married 10 years and he started defending me about 4 years ago. Only because I explained to him that they only do what he allows them to do. He finally put his foot down, they don't treat me bad anymore.

his brother and sister are selfish, they see u as a threaten, if it wasn't for you, "your" man would only have his family, and he probably would give them money, help them more... if he doesn't stand up for you it means he doesn't care enough for you, u're less important than his bor & sis... HE DOES NOT DESERVE YOU break up with him for a while and see what he does.. if he really loves u he will come for you, if he doesn't show much intereset, than find another man. a real one. cuz this guy isn't man enough if he is unable to protect his woman!
