I want to know if any childless people have had a change of heart over the years.

I go through phases. In my early 20s I didn't want kids. Then later on in life I was absolutely in the biggest hurry to have them (never did have any) and now I'm content without them and don't know that I want them anymore.
Anyway, the reasons for the changes are just the life circumstances I find myself in. At a time when I'm too busy with work or trying to make my relationship work or I'm just too selfish to have them then I obviously don't want them. But, when I'm at a plateau phase in my life when I feel like I have a handle on things then I feel like I really want them. I'm sure they'll come when I'm in a crazy life mode. Murphy's Law.

I told myself that if I didn't have kids ((legitimate mind ya; I was overseas in the military for a while)) by the time I was 35 I would get things snipped, and I did....I just didn't wanna be like 60 when my kid graduated high school and stuff, so took care of it instead...But, I also have 3 awesome nephews that pretty much took a kids place in my heart...

I want another but I already have three and my oldest is a teenager. I don't want to start over. Plus they already have 3 step siblings for a total of 6 kids in the family. Then, if I get remarried to someone with kids... well, that's enough.

Need to balance things out. Better future for the kids with small family.

I don't want to have kids because I don't feel that I could handle the stress. I know it sounds selfish, but I do like getting my sleep at night and having free time to myself.

I want them but have chosen not to because i don't want to be nearly a senior citizen when the child would be graduating high school. i need a life, too.

The screaming, the throwing of toys, the dirty diapers,
the hours and hours of feeding and changing diapers.
the hours of no sleep. You need to ask this question.
