As a Christian,by faith in Christ's atoning blood and resurrection victory-I am anxious to go and be with the Lord-check out the apostle Paul's attitude about that also.
Even with the medical thecnology we have today-the longer we live, the more chance of a dibilitating or deadly disease can happen. marlyne B

Well I don't know what world you live in, but on the Earth we have amazing new ways of dealing with all illnesses that never existed before. I hear fear in your email and your question definitely is based on some things you've been taught. As we age we learn to question erratic religious beliefs that are based on fears. If that is what is happening, start questioning. The Earth has more people living to be past 100 and in excellent health without some deadly disease as you mention. You email sounds like your opinions aren't yours, which is a concern. I hope you are not being indoctrinated by some religious fanatic and if you are, I hope you wake up before it's too late. It's a fact that baby boomers are living and being more healthy than ever before and we are supposed to break the Social Security system because of our long lives. Click and read the stories I've pasted below and see for yourself. You can also type in "are people living longer and healthier lives?" in the google.com box and there will be lots of choices of sites to click on. I got these 2 from google.com and they back up what I've already said.

Well, we get old and we die of a desease, or if we die young, it could be a desease. Either way, you die and get a desease; unless you die in an accident.

Just stop worrying about death as it is deafeting the object of you living life. Since you have to live what ever that life involves which you cant do if you worry about the end of it.

If you have suicidal thoughts, I suggest you see a doctor and discuss with you about this.
Think about how this may effect your family and friends. Your purpose in life would be prevented also.

Discuss with him what ever concerns you may have also,
