what? There are still indians in this country? Natives? Where? The only ones I know work on the reservation's casino.
Oh, do you mean Indians from India? Well your superintendent is an idiot because those Indians don't take anything. AMERICAN CORPORATIONS outsource those jobs. Boy, sure glad he's in charge of a whole school district. No wonder we're pumping out a generation of morons.
(No offense, high school students)

FIRST off it is not an ignorant statement
SECOND of all he was ignorant for saying it, BUT he only used it as a tool to inspire the kids here to work harder.
The indians ARE taking our jobs believe it or not. They are taking things like our phone jobs. companies such as AOL have operators that are all the way over in india. I was on the phone with someone from AOL and i could barely understand what they were saying
businesses send those jobs to other countries because they can make more money by paying them less than they deserve and then the companies begin to make profit while we in America suffer because we dont have the jobs
and people wonder why the crime rate is up.."hint hint" stressed out need and job so people begin to resort to theft

Have you tried to talk to a technical support person from Juno, or walmart connect or any of those places lately? They are all located in East India! It's cheaper labor, but you get what you pay for. Cheap results. I can't even use the term quality because they have no quality in their company since they took their offices out of the USA and gave it away to the East Indians.

he's probably talking about all the technology jobs that are going to India. next time you have a problem with your bank, call their 1-800 number, and see if the "real person" on the other end is American.
not to be mean, but that's the future of the technology industry.
and anyway, that's nothing. my husband's college had a job fair once. this guy from Wachovia stood up, supposedly to talk about careers available in his company. all he said was, 'if you speak Spanish, you can apply with me. if you can't, good luck working for Kmart."
true story.

Very simple it was in inappropriate bigoted remark. He should be censured for it and maybe even fired depending upon the school districts rules of conduct.
He also may have thought he was make a joke, one in very bad taste.

because they do. The government is willing to give special grants to immigrants to start their own buisnesses and the dot heads work for almost free. You may think i'm prejudiced but when I get underbid on for a job because i'm not willing to work for cash under the table for less than minimumb wage and my job goes to the indian that does it pisses me off.

I'm really hoping you misheard him. That would REALLY suck if he really said that.
Not sure why people are afraid of minorities taking their jobs. I mean, if these white people are "losing" jobs, it just means they never had them in the first place. And if they don't get the job, it just means these complainers weren't' good enough for the job.
No sense to me.

I can't believe somthing like that happened and it didn't make the news. Are you sure you heard him correctly? You infer you weren't paying attention by the way you related the incident. Perhaps you were mistaken.
