I want to get my belly pierced but first i need to know how bad it hurts to get the needle stuck through the skin.

No pain at all! The skin in clamped with hemostats, cleansed and the needle is stuck thru its all so quick you don't feel it. Had it done. Very hard to keep clean. I ended up allergic to the jewelry and infected my naval and abdomen up to chest and everything down to mid thigh. Raised rash, fever and green puss. I had cellulitus. Very itchy, very painful. It required a hospital stay with IV antibiotics and the permanent removal of the jewelry. Be very careful could get dangerous and expensive. I don't recommend it and I am a nurse.

Everyone has a different tolerance for pain; I didn't think it hurt so bad, but I've also had a child and KNOW pain. Are you afraid of needles? If so, the anxiety of seeing that may decrease your pain tolerance causing you to feel worse than you would if just relaxing. You could always turn your head and take slow, deep breaths and hold someone's hand; you should be fine!

Nothing is a painful as getting your nipples pierced. Belly pain goes away fairly fast. Anywhere else is pretty much taken in stride. If you have low pain tolerance however it is likely to make it much worse.

Put a giant stake in your belly until that stake comes out of your back and then think about it. Does it sting? No? Then it wont hurt.
Otherwise, it might do quite a bit; but after it wont really hurt after that. I imagine you could have something put on maybe to numb it, I guess.

I haven't gotten one so I don't know how it feels.
But since it is a piercing I think it hurts as much as when you get your ears pierced or something.

Why do you want to destroy your body like that? Did you know that you could get infected that a way or worse. Be proud of your body and appreicate what god has given you. Remember your body is a beautiful thing.

I want to too! My mom had it done and she says it hurts like hell. But the pain is kinda quick, I think. It is hard to keep it clean though. I cant wait till I get mine done! Good luck! Hope you like! Hope you dont get any infections!

It does hurt just a little, for like a second though, and it's not bad. It's over before you know it :-)
