Why does guys ignore the question "do you like me"?

I would want a girl to ask me that question. It will make LIFE for MEN EASY!!!!!!!!!!!

Take your pick:
1) He knows that the answer is "no", and he is afraid that you will get angry and make a scene and hurt his feelings.
2) He knows that the answer is "no", and he is afraid of hurting your feelings, since he thinks of you as a friend.
3) He thinks that avoiding direct answers creates more attraction since it makes him mysterious.
4) He is not yet sure of how he feels about you.
5) He really likes you, but he thinks that you are not good for each other.
6) He didn't hear you.
7) He is shy.
8) He is a jerk.

Cuz if a guy said "yes" the girl would like get shocked, and get scared away even if they asked. If we say "no" then the girl would get mad at him because he's (assumed to be) lying, or the girl can't take it. It's best to sell it than to tell it.

Because when I girl asks us that question, we interpret it as, "I am serious about you babe, and want to know if you feel the same way about me." Once we say yes to it, then it is assumed that there is a dating relationship that is soon to get serious.

afraid...they are afraid of committment...afraid of their inner feelings and afraid of getting dumped after being with someone for a while. guys are not good at the emotional side of a relationship. they will say "yes, I like you", while they are grabbing at your breast. that's how a guy handles, or mishandles the question...they use the physical approach.

not confident of themselves, fear you may be playing w/their heart or head. or you're not who they desire, but don't know how to say so w/o hurting you. which no man really wants to do to a woman
guys are expected to love every woman who shows interest.
old but truism. if a man walks up to a woman 1st and asks her out if she says no. its bc she has taste & class. now, if she had walked up to him and asked him out 1st and he turns her down its bc he is gay. SMILE YOURE FINE!
