If so, do you like it? How much off MSRP did you pay?

I bought one for 13,800. The 2.2 ecotech engine has a lot of pep. I also think the coupe is very stylish. I wouldn't consider a VW because I am supportive of my country.

It is good to hear from someone who works in Chevy service. I do believe, however, that the styling is the same for the SS and the regular coupe. The rims on the SS are larger, and of course the engine is more potent and the interior is
upgraded. But from what I've observed, the styling is the same. Am I wrong about this? I would have never bought a new Cavilier in a hundred years. Yet the Cobalt
two-door totally captures me.

I'm liking the positive things I'm hearing about them. I wasn't even dreaming of buying a new car on Monday. We were test-driving to see what was out there. I took a Malabu for a ride for S@@ts and giggles, and looked at the financing numbers. Didn't really care for the color, but I loved the ride. Somehow, the salesdude got me into a Colbalt. I was luke warm to it at first, but now I love it! It's missing an armrest though. I'm having phantom armrest syndrome!

This thing has an incredibly smooth ride and some features that I never dreamed would be on a car that I owned. The lights decide when they need to come on (that totally blows me away) and the radio stays on after I pull the keys out of the ignition. Battery is in the trunk. The clock won't let me set it fast. It apparently resets to some tower like my cell phone does.

It's novelty right now. The true test is when it has 95,000 miles on it like my unreliable KIA did. (4 out of the last 10 weeks in the shop)

The Cobalt is a great car for the money, however, I would spend a little more for the SS version, just because of the styling. I work for a Chevy dealer in service, and we see almost no problems with them. Very reliable.

i rented one about 2 months ago. It was for 1 week. It was very uncomfortable and had slow acceleration. You get what you pay for. if your on a budget i would look at the VW Rabbit.
