My mother keeps telling me that chewing gum will get me artritis.(i am a constant gum chewer) If not, what kind of problems will chewing gum give me?

Tell your mom, Arthritis is a group of conditions that affect the health of the bone joints in the body. It can be caused from strains and injuries from repetitive motion, sports, overexertion and falls.

i don't think it has anything to do with chewing gum. if you have doubts go ask your physician. or visit

i don't know about arthritis but it can definitely lead to tmj disorders.

i would advise you to slow down on the chewing gum and when you do make sure it is sugarless and only for a couple of minutes until the flvors gone

no...if you have braces it actually helps the jaw move...(sugarfree)
