It is very possible that you've been encountering stimuli that are similar to stimuli from separate, past experiences, leading you to believe that you experienced these things before. It's basically a case of you having the same feelings, sensations, or thoughts elicited from two or more separate incidents, thereby blurring the lines of distinction between them.
It is VERY normal to experience this, but unfortunately, there is no scientific proof that deja vu means what people think it does.

I think it could mean any of what these other people have posted. Everyone is different, but I must tell you...be careful. I have always had "deja vu" dreams and when I was 15 I had a dream my dad died in a hospital with a cross on the roof. 2 weeks later he was in a car wreck on I 45 in Dallas...he was in ICU for 2 and a half weeks and passed away at Methodist Hospital. There is a white cross on the roof.

I used to have them quite often when I had good sleep. Now, I am in banking sales and there doesn't seem to be enough sleep on the agenda for some crazy reason. (Maybe, I should just stay off the net, huh?) At any rate, I have a belief that we all dream of future events from time to time. Some more often than others, such as yourself. How well we rest triggers how much of our dreams we remember. We dream much more than we realize. We do not remember most of them because we basically sleep through them. Many dreams we do remember occur when we wake in the middle of them. See how you remember. At night, try to have a notebook near your bedside. If you wake up and remember it try writing it down. It may not make sense at the time, but it may later.

I have heard everything from time travel to a mind seizures. It does happen to everyone I think. Most just are afraid to talk about it. It might be lack of sleep or mind wandering. Could be an out of body experience if you believe in that sort of thing. It happens to me every couple of months I think. Seem like it lasts for a few days. On and off.

It doesn't mean anything, it used to happen to me a lot too, we talked about it in psychology and what it is, is that you think you have had the exact same thing happen to you before, but really your just recalling what had just happened, thinking it happened a period of time ago

This generally occurrs when you've smoked too much dope and gone and done the same thing overand over, repeatedly forgetting that you've already done it.
