In the bible it mentions that some people have senses much stronger than others, what is that called?

It is rare to have that one power that is mentioned in the bible. It can be a passed down thing that is in there family , it gets stronger when that person gets older. What is that called?

I've never heard nor read of that in the bible before. I do know that if you lose a sense...others will try to compensate. I know some blind people who have an awesome sense of smell and touch.............
