Immigration is the foundation of our country and our freedoms. It is good to have your own religion, to be able to express yourself and your culture. It adds richness to our country. Of course immigration is good, its what America is all about...

What would happen if there were no illegal immigrants? Well, first of all there'd be no one here by Indians. As the saying goes- America: Love it or Give it Back.

But even if we only look at the present day, I think someone ought to simulate a week without illegal immigrants. How much money would we save? Would we be safer? How much would our food cost? How much would suddenly become unavailable? Would restaurants, contractors, nursing homes, and daycare centers suddenly go out of business, or only become so expensive that no one but the rich could use them?

People who complain about illegal immigrants are the same idiots who complain about paying taxes. Has anyone used a highway recently? How about clean drinking water, or fire/police services?

These folks remind me of a spoiled teenager who never considers where his food, clothes or house come from.

I am assuming you mean legal immigration, which case is good of course, america is still a melting pot of cultures, and we should always embrase that, it is what has got us where we are now.

as far as illegal:

The only thing that really bothers me about illegal immegration is that they live in america, but do not pay american taxes, while still recieving all the services, roads, hospitals, police, fire protection, and schools that everyone else in this country pays for. That does not seem fair in any respect, but in the same light neither does making them work on below minimum wages.

This is a thorn that our country has neglected for way to long, and its good to see some interest in resolving this issue finally, although I do not think the right thing will be done, nor will it be done any time soon.

Immigration is a fact of life we as Americans spout off how good we have it here with freedom of speech the right to bear arms etc....... then flaunt this at other countries and tell them how stupid they are. These immigrants are human beings with reasons for doing what they do. Yes there some bad ones but we all ready have more bad than we admit plus how many of these "Gang member mafioso immigrants" eat humans? that was for the people spouting deport all English only people

Human beings had immigrated since the times of cavemen, why? because they look to survive in this crazy world.
The difference between immigrating in the last two centuries and this century is that there are nations and borders, that's it.
Immigration is part of the humanity's history.

Immigration under a planned immigration law is good -- it is designed to be that way.

Illegal immigration is bad. We subsidize education and other services for poor immigrants which is why we need to limit how many can come. There are way too many now and our schools and service are failing. We need to put a stop to illegal immigration and have a limited immigration policy going forward that protects our children's education, health care for our poor, and benefits for our elderly.

Immigration is good. America is a country of immigrants. Without immigrants, this country would be nothing. Well, there would still be the Native Americans. But that's it. America needs Immigration.

there is actually no such thing as "legal immagration" as some of these people mention. You can't have An Legal action occuring when the original action was Illegal, and if are trying to tell me that this country was obtained "legally" then you're crazy!
Although I think it's great that some of you are actually starting to lighten up on immigrants,I think you need to take it one step further and admit that you being citizens of this country have no right to barr anyone entry when it was stolen by your ancestors, which makes it Stolen property and you have No right to it.Mexicans on the other hand live within "walking distance"
