You are right, the program did indeed report on a drug that has been shown to be of help in certain types of cancer.

I'm almost sure it was naltrexone, commonly used in the treatment of alcohol dependence.

However, don't take my word for it; better check with your GP.

...Unfortunately, if there was a pill like this, it would be publicized in the news, given to all cancer patients, ...you get my point.

...TV channels will air any commercial that gives them money...and unfortunately "false claim" products seem to be getting an abundance of commucial time

....Manufactures of herbs, vitamins advertise that they are anti-oxidants...that means they they tend to prevent cancer, but I do not know how they really help after cancer has developed.

You can get antioxidents naturally by eating fresh fruit...

Snake oil. It won't work. It's probably just a combination of some vitamins and supplements. Is it too good to be true? Then it is.
