Whether married or single....sex with a someone committed to you is best. It allows a freedom to express yourself that being with a non-committed person doesn't. The sense of knowing no one else is touching this person the way you are is very exciting. If more excitement is needed in the relationship, it can be arranged without going to someone outside the relationship. There are many ways to bring excitement to a relationship, but lies and dishonesty aren't the way to do it.

Discounting for the moment after-effects (STD, jealous boyfriends, violence, divorce, religious persecution, etc), new sex is the best (purely for excitement), emotional sex is great, and adventuresome sex is great, too. Any combination of the three is even better. Tiresome or routine sex is just above abstinence. In a relationship (whether bound by law or not) good sex is better and bad sex is significantly worse (sometimes to the point of ALMOST worse than abstinence). That's why defying parental, religious, and legal mandates to have pre-marital sex is important. A lifetime of unbearable sex is a pathway to a nasty divorce. New sex is probably the leading cause of infidelity (rather than divorce, unless you get caught), but satisfying, married sex is worth the sacrifice of no new sex. The advantage of single sex is the knowledge that it doesn't have to continue, so there's really no such thing as truly BAD single sex.
My list:
1. Great married sex
2. New sex (first encounter)
3. Good married sex
4. New sex (dating)
5. Great single sex
6. New sex (extra-marital)
7. Good single sex
8. Great extra-marital sex
9. Good extra-marital sex
10. Not-so-good single sex
15. Bad married sex (not even close to anything else)
20. No sex
N/A Bad extra-marital sex (why would you have it - unless you're married and not having sex?)

I say married sex is better. but it depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for just sex and orgasms then single sex is probably better cause you're usually only worried about your own satisfaction, and it's new and "exciting".
If you're a good lover Married sex can be the best cause you don't have to worry about catching anything by performing certain acts. There's comfort in knowing and in married sex you know your partner. You know what makes them "tick" and you can play with this depending on what you want to accomplish. :D ?

lol that's a good question married sex can get alot kinkier then someone your casual with however it's not as frequent as single sex after about eh first year.. However from a woman's view point it's alot easier to get nastier with someone your married to then a stranger sure you might enjoy the new but would you really do things you fantasize about with someone your just dating

I cannot attest to married sex, so I will go with relationship sex vs. single sex. And the answer is - relationship sex. In order for sex to be great, you really have to get to know your partner and their likes and dislikes. You have to be comfortable so you can be a little more experimental. While the thrill of single sex can be exhilirating, the rush is more pleasurable than the sex itself. Stick to the relationship.

Commited sex should be better but, some people don't know what commitment is. Marriage should be better but some people don't want to put anything into a marriage to improve it. Therefore the easy way out it to sleep around.

Sex with your spouse can become unexciting and mundane if you let it. Sex with someone outside the married relationship can be exciting for many reasons...it is taboo, it is different, and you generally haven't just had an argument with the one you aren't married to, and you both don't have to think about anything but getting off.
I dunno...I have not had sex with anyone other than my husband for over 29 years, and I feel certain he hasn't. We tend to hold quality over quantity and respect each others wishes.

any type of sex is good, think its who you are with. I think having sex when you are single or with a married person and you are the single one is exciting due to the excitement of getting caught
