you'll have to get a bell for around it's head so it won't keep scratching it open. if it's a deep one take it to the vet for meds, if it's a light one then put neosporin on it until it scabs and be a nice mommy and rub it gently every so often to help with the almost unbearable itch.

Your biggest worry will be infection. Clean the scratch very well with cotton balls soaked in hydrogen peroxide topical solution - its painless. Do this at least three times a day until the wound shows signs of closing up or drying up. Scratches on cats usually heal very fast - I know. My tom used to get all sorts of scratches from cat fights before I got him neutered. BUT, if pus appears in the wound, your cat may need anti-biotics from the vet.

You can start conservatively by cleaning it with anti-bacterial soap and water and applying neosporin (as long as she can't lick it off). If she is not better or it is getting worse within two days, have her checked by your vet. She may need oral antibiotics to help it heal.

pure a little bit of beer on it. my dog had a cut and i was told to put beer on it and it help it heal in about 2 days or less
