I have trouble falling to sleep as well. I just lay in bed and run the days events through my head, conversations I've had, and to do lists for the next day. My trick is when I notice my brain daydreaming I start saying over and over and over sleep sleep sleep sleep in my head until I fall asleep. I don't let my mind think about anything but saying sleep sleep sleep etc.. over and over. it works like a charm and usually only takes me a few minutes to fall asleep. Hope this helps

The best way to try to fall asleep would be to find something that relaxes you. It may be that taking a bubble bath, reading a book, watching television, having a cup of warm milk, listening to peaceful mellow music, or just lying in bed with a cold compress over your eyes may help do the trick. Unfortunately these methods don't always work. If you find that you are experiencing an unusual amount of stress or anxiety lately, this may also be affecting your sleeping patterns. Try listening to your body. If your body is telling you earlier in the day that you need rest, then try to make every effort to get the rest when your body tells you it needs the rest. However, if at 2 or 3 in the morning your body says it's not time for sleep, just try to clear your mind and lay down. Just laying still can help restore a little energy that your body may actually need.

yes, i had a sleeping problem for a couple years. I just had to wake up at 8 in the morning (even if i went to bed at 3) and if i am still tired then i just have to fight it all day until ive been up for about 14 hours then i would go to sleep. That helped me get back on track. Then after i went to bed at 10 or 11 i would wake up after 8 hours of sleep only, stay on a schedule until ure on track and then you could stay up late on the weekends after you can get on track
