Yes, there was the Gremlin, and the Pinto. The Pinto would explode on rear impact. The Gremlin was just to damn ugly to look at.

Time to sign on the dotted line, dear. Even Donald Trump goes into debt.

I had an 80 Toyota Celica GT around early 90s and it was a piece of crap too. Only foreign car I ever owned, hopefully the only foreign car I will ever own.

i didnt have a really crappy car yet. The worst pos maybe was my 1990 Audi 80 my first car. Everything after that including a 94 Ford Probe GT, Eclipse GST,RS, Golf A3 95, 2000 Mazda truck was fun and no major repairs. But the pos Audi had to fix the cdboots twice in a year with $600 each time spending on the repair how retarded is that...then the exel broke on me and the engine was about to die so i sold it asap.

With propre care the Toyota is the most reliable car out there .I would assume you are not the original owner of such a fine car and the car has probably been abused by many before you. I am sorry you are having trouble with your 20 year old Toyota but it is not the cars fault.

The car's fine. It's the drivers who neglect maintenence and the age of the car that's causing problems. Old cars, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, whatever, will always have imperative issues needing attention. That's why it's important to inspect and test drive when buying a used/old car and making sure to understand that your car will be a bit expensive to maintain due to its age.

I bet you dont see many cars on the road that were produced 20 years ago. It is the age that not many cars reach.

You should be glad if your toyota starts at all. Furthermore lots of standards in safety and equipment have changed since then.

Yes, the 1972 Ford Pinto. It was so badly made that if it were to sustain a rear-end collison, the gas tank would explode and the whole car would go up in flames.
