At age 15 me and my 3 best buds hitchhiked north from So Cal, and back, got all the way to Seattle. Then later we got drafted, Viet Nam era, went places I don't want to mention right now, but then I got married to my second wife in '79 and rode my Norton 850 Commando from Seattle to San Antonio Texas, and back. It took three months, and it was the best vacation I've ever had. My wife still thinks of it as the most sexual experience she's ever had. She's still a fox, at 52, and I'm not just saying that, all guys are wanting down her pants. It's all I can do to keep her at home. lol

Not only outside my state or town, but outside my country. I live in New Mexico and have traveled to a variety of US states, but I have also traveled outside the country to Mexico and Belize and am going to live in Costa Rica for 3 1/2 months this May

Why? Because I am Hispanic and feel its important to experience Latin America first hand, connect with my people, be immersed in the language of my ancestors. If you haven't traveled, I encourage you to! If you want to experience someplace new, let me recommend la cultura de Latinos!

yep, I've been in 43 of the 50 states and 8 different countries, I've been in so many states because my father was military so we moved a lot and then of course road-tripping in high school and when my friends moved to new places I'd go and visit. I've been to so many countries because my spouse is a world traveler and I was lucky enough to catch him before somebody else did, even if I didn't have him though I think I still would have traveled abroad because it is difficult to learn about the rest of the world in a fair and unbiased way in the American school system.....if you want to learn it then you need to live it.

I have only been to a small part of the northwest. I was born and grew up in Oregon and I have only been to small parts of Washington and California. I have kinda a poor family, so we don't travel unless we have to.

Well, of course. I've travelled to attend family functions (weddings, funerals, reunions, etc.) or just to visit. I've travelled for vacation (Disney World, for example). I've even moved from one state to another.
