Well there are people allergic to the sun. So I do believe that there are people allergic to water.

No, water is the basis of all life. Your body is mostly made of water. People can however be allergic to things which are found in water. These include microbial beings or dissolved minerals and chemicals.

I think they might be allergic to whats in the water,not just the water it self.

A friend of mine seems to have an allergy to water. After taking a shower or a bath his chest, back, front side of thighs and external side or arms start itching like crazy. It is so bad that he can't help himself from scratching. There is no eczema...Just the itching which lasts for about 2 hours. Nothing seems to help, not even calm the itching; he's tryed menthol cream and alcohol , as well as allergy creams. He is ok with rain water or swimming pool water. And one time from 10 his skin doesn't itch after shower.

More likely allergic to something IN the water, like chlorine or flouride - if you were allergic to water itself, you would be dead.

Tricky question. The real answer is no, there is nothing allergenic about water (70% of you is water). However, localized histaminic reactions have been known to occur in very very rare cases, but those can probably be attributed to something in the water.

if they was allergic to water..then they would die since there body is made up mostly of water..you been watching too much of the movie "signs"

Most likely you won't be allergic to water itself, but the chemicals in the water used to clean it. There is also a condition known as aquagenic urticaria in which the patient develops urticaria or rash when exposed to water.

no... anyone how seams to have a "allergic" reaction to water... really doesnt... its the minerals and salts in the water... how can any one be allergic to water alone... 68% of a body is water...
