I usually arrange photos by eye but have found that groupings of odd numbers always look better than even numbers. I would suggest breaking your photos down into smaller groups of 7 or nine and then arranging them slightly assymetrically. This is hard to describe without being able to draw a diagram. Straight horizontal lines don't look good if you are going to have that many photos up. If you arranged them vertically in lines (such as nailed onto interesting thin wood planks or straightish natural branches, stagger the placement in each vertical line so that they don't end up with horizontal alignment.
Sorry if this is not clear enough!

2 ways I can think would look cool. If you like an organized modern look, get some frames that can display 4 photos at a time and get one of those laser levels and hang them in a grid pattern like one huge piece of art. I would reccomend getting all the same type and color of frame for this, or work in a color pattern as well with the frames. OR If you like a more free-spirited style, choose many frame styles, some that hold many photos, others that hold 1, in different shapes and colors, and hang them in groups of 3 or 4 frames all over your house. Check clearance ranks or discount stores for a varied selection.

I'd buy a piece of plywood and paint it a solid color and place pictures on it and laquer them, It acts like a sticky glaze it wont paint over your pictures but give it a shine without nails or tacks,,, then Id put a piece of wire on the back and hang it on the wall.

All the previous answers were great. I would just like to add that you might really want to think about multiple picture frames (collages) as I would hate to think how much time you will waste straightening 100 pictures every so often. Also, I have found taping paper up on the wall (kind of like the laying it out on the floor suggestion) makes it easier. My husband is not exactly a visual person in this sense so seeing the paper on the wall helps him understand the job that we will soon be tackling.
You did not mention whether they were all color, black and white or some of each. Odd groupings are more eye pleasing. Also keep in mind that color needs to be balanced across the wall. Your eye needs to be teased in all directions. (Don't put all the yellow pictures on one side.)
Kind of a wild suggestion but depending on the wall size, maybe you could arrange them in the shape of an airplane as they are travel photos.
This sounds like a fun but tedious project. Good luck!

I have a lot of family "history" photos that I wanted to display, so to get the "gallery" look, I first scanned the photos to my computer, and using the software, printed them all in black and white and all the same size. Framed them all in the same black frames.
I purchased a decorated wrought iron curtain rod and hung it on the wall, I had to use smaller mounting brackets than came with the rod, so that the rod didn't stick out from the wall so far.
I then took black "ribbon" and made a loop and stapled that to the back of the frame, and put the loop on the rod. I made each row of pictures a different ribbon length so that they all hung at different levels on the wall.
Above the "rod" I put a sign that says, "Family's are forever".
The look was really fun and fresh, and no nails involved, except for the rod.
You could do the same thing with your travel photos, in color if you would prefer.
To expound on some of the other ideas for hanging your travel photos, would be to group each "place" that you have visited. Say Paris on one wall, Jamaica on another wall, and so on. Keep your photos in odd numbers, and stagger them to make the eye "travel" from one picture to the next. I also used the floor to lay out my design before hanging.
Have Fun!
