Friendship is the BEST foundation of a LOVE relationship. Because you will have to make few adjustments later on because you already know each other. I think the issue is not to choose between a good friendship and love. But the issue is YOU... ask yourself... are you ready to enter a different level of relationship? and if you are? would you want it to be with your friend? You will not lose the friendship, it will only evolve to higher level. But if you are scared you could equate that feeling to "unsure" so with the smallest hint of doubt... wait for a while... know him some more... and nurture the friendship.. if it bothers you that he's making the moves you can talk to him.. tell him.. "let's keep it on a friendly level." god bless you

Hmmmm.... a good friend versus a lover.
If you have to ask the question, you have already pretty much decided that this guy makes a great friend but doesnt push any hot buttons on you that would make you want to take it furthur.
Stay away from the relationship if you know it has little chance of making it. Especially dont let him puppy dog eye you into something you really dont want to do.

Well I had a great friend and we had great times together, I moved in with them and we slept together. And I wanted more, and he didnt. Now that it is all said and done We dotn talk or see each other. I dont live there eather. So if you dont feel that strong then just let them know before hand cause a freind is hard to lose then a lover.

Let me put this in perspective for you...unless you and the male are both happily married to someone else and have a "couple's relationship" then, men and women can never be "just" friends. Someone is always wishing it were more, whether that is vocalized or not, is another story. some people are just smart enough to know where they stand.

if you have the same feelings then go for it i used to be best friends with this boy and we started dating and we still are dating. if you don't have the same feeling then just tell him you never know he might even understand how you feel. you really don't want to lose that great friendship that you two have between one another. but if you do decide to take it to the next level congrats and if not that even greater cause you are following your instinct.

Tell him that your friendship with him is very valuable and you don't wanna ruin it, but if he likes you likes you things will be really messy, so I know it will sound extremely cliché but follow your heart.
