pass away is usually the more common term to mean "to die"but
pass over and pass on are also correct.I like using the language in different ways and sometimes I use these terms too.

Yep, I've heard those expression many times. I personally prefer to "pass on". I think that sounds a lot more peaceful.

I'd rather just say that someone died. Or perhaps that they passed GO and did not collect $200..00
