i want to get braces because my top teeth are kinda leaning forward i dont have gaps and theyre not crooked how many months or years will it take to straighten them

i dont think is an open bite what i mean is my top teeth and bottom teeth dont touch when i close my mouth

it sort of sounds like you are discribing an open bite. it probably will take all of two years to get you where you need to be.

maintaining the straightened teeth will be interesting because you need to understand what made your bite the way it is- did you suck your thumb or fingers as a child? do you have a tongue thrust when you swallow? your orthodontist will help you figure out this and if it is a tongue thrust when you swallow- he will tell you what to do to change your swallowing method

maybe 6 months to a year because it's only the top that u want done...there are other choices to fix ur top teeth but i think it may cost some bucks but hey, it maybe worth it

my cousin had them for 2 yrs, she too had the same problem
