He probably committed some crimes in jail. That is possible, you know. He can have time added for assaulting correctional staff or other inmates. It sounds like he hasn't changed, at all.

On a broader note, neither those who are in prison nor the family of prisoners get the luxury of saying when they "feel" the prisoner is ready to come home. They gave up that freedom when the committed the crimes that landed them in prison.

Depending on classification of the prisoner, and all that they can add time for rule infractions, and take away good time. Most prisons/jails have different classes for offenses adn how good time affects the time they serve, if he broke rules and all that he got more time if he is in the wrong classification he cant get work release depends on the crime he committed and how it works out. If he is constantly running his mouth, causing a problem, and the like then he will keep getting time added. Sounds like he assaulted another prisoner to get another 6 months though you can track him though on the internet and find it all out.

I gotta give it up to irishfan & afrochocobbw, they're right; It's your sons' fault, Honey, he shouldn't be misbehavin' in det place. If you wanna get ahold o dem wardens & such, contact your state department of corrections & they'll steer ya to da right place. Brace yourself too, Babygirl, cuz if he Is such a screwup & Did do some real bad harm to another (inmate Or staff), he can & in most places will be charged with an additional crime, which can mean that he could wind up doing a whole 'nother sentence! God Bless & Good Luck to you & yours, HoneyChile!

his good time could be taken away if he got in more trouble after being locked up so that would extend his release date or he might have incurred more charges.
don't know where he is but i work in a county jail and the inmate are allowed to make call almost when ever they want.
don't baby your son, he messed up and got himself in this trouble he has to understand that he has to pay the consequences otherwise when he gets out he will end up messing up again and end up locked up again

your son is a behavior problem in prison. most prisons are run on merit demerit systems> the more he gets in trouble< the fewer privileges he gets. also if he is fighting others or the officers he can get extra time added to his sentence. tell your son to follow all rules and keep his nose clean. if he were on good behavior he would have gotten out early. this is totally your son"s responsibility

Get a Lawyer. Also, call the prison and ask to speak to someone with authority.

The jails usually don't hold someone for longer than they are supposed to be unless they are misbehaving in jail. The more he messes up the longer they can keep him in there.

Sometimes they extend prison time if he breaks the rules while in prison. I'll keep y'all in my prayers.

CALM DOWN
HE MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING IN PRISON TO GET EXTRA TIME THEY DON'T JUST KEEP YOU IN AFTER YOU HAVE DONE YOUR TIME
PHONE THE PRISON BUT THEY DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU WHY YOU MAY HAVE TO WAIT FOR YOUR SON TO TELL YOU
GOOD LUCK
