Wouldn't it be better, to be discussing them with your spouse or s/o? It's bc advice is given and people only hear one persons side or view. I use personal experience when I give advice, but what works or right for me,might not be good for someone else. I know many talk or vent, then make up their own mind. But without knowing both views, could some advice add to the persons problem or thoughts? What do you think?

you can ask it so its not giving it all away. listen to what others views are. but always rm its between you & yours to decide whats best. it can be a relief to share with others are thinkn, and find youre not going thru such a major issue as you mayve thought.

It would be better to discuss things with your partner, but if they don't talk to you, then coming on here has been very helpful. Some people usually give honest responses. It is an anonymous forum and allows people to communicate. Communication is essential, and for some people this is the only place where they are heard. I am glad Yahoo created this. It's free therapy for those with a conscious who already know the 'right' answers...they just need validation. Cheers!

The anonymity of the situation may make it easier on you to express certain things than if it were to someone you regularly encounter on a daily basis. That being said, the downsides to this type of forum that you've expressed are also equally valid, so in your case I guess an objective weighing of which condition has more value to you would be the deciding factor in whether or not use of this forum would be a good idea (for you). Best wishes in whatever option you choose.

It's better than making a bartender your buddy to listen to all your troubles at the expense of becoming an alcoholic. I'd say pick up suggestions from strangers and you decide what will work for you best. You know both sides of the story.

Well, its okay for me to know other people points of view especially in relationship and love problems. Through that, maybe it will help enlighten me on my situation. But of course the decision making would be through me. Its just that you can get some pointers from other people.

I agree, Native A.B. Sometimes Y!Aanswers is like "Dear Abby".

But, within the context of FIRST talking things over with your significant other, and with very close trusted friends who know you both, THEN Y!A can be an augmenting source of some useful ideas.

Sometimes people who don't know you give you a more objective opinion. now no matter what these are just views from "Strangers" so it will be still up to the asker to make something out of it.

You don't get all points of views but you get one and you can help that person. I don't want to point any fingers. I just want to help someone who needs it. People should talk with their family but sometimes they don't listen

I would take the advice here lightly. It is very difficult to truely help other when you know so little about what makes them tick.
