"He that is without sin among you, let him cast a stone." John 8:7
Is is so nice, so wonderful, so refreashing to see so many people without sin standing in judgement around here.
Think about it and let me know who here has earned the right?

Interloafer, I'm not passing judgement. I'm simply asking a question that our consciences will have to answer. We all justify our actions one way or another and in the end we all answer to the same God.
Lois, by trade I'm a carpenter. But my gift and my life is my art. Thank you.

Imdmutt, every word, every teaching from Christ is a commandment. If Christ is God and the Word of God then it is so.

There is a difference between judging and correcting. Matthew 7:1 does say Judge not lest you be judged. And for most anti christian nay sayers that settles it. Read a little further though. The passage continues and teaches that by the same measure that you judge others you too will be judged. It is simply a promise that if we judge we will be judged by the same standard we employed. Identifying sin is not being judgmental. How we approach the person and how we encourage them to turn away from the sin is the lesson. It's all about your heart condition. I encourage you to read the entire passage, not just one particular verse. Also, read the sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7). Funny when you think about it, read your question, perhaps you're being judgmental as well!

He said " who is without the same sin".
In the story the Pharasees found an adultrous woman and asked jesus to throw out the frist stone. In the law both parties, the man and the woman, were to be stoned. the pharasees and the scribes changed it to mean "the woman" was guilty. So they were asking Jesus to enforce only part of the law. The implication is that they knew she was adultrous because some of them had comitted adultry with her. that is why they knew where she was.
They wee trying to trick Jesus into breaking the law.
This is also why He tells the woman, "go and sin no more"

As for me, I have committed about every sin imaginable and broken every Commandment, yet I still have the innate flaw of judging others because of arrogance and self-centeredness. Truly, we all are guilty of this and should be judged according to our own judgment.
In truth, only Christ has the right and justification to judge and condemn, and yet he had the humility and love to ask in his final hours on the cross that his Heavenly Father forgive. What will it take for us to put others before ourselves? Is it even possible anymore?

The context of that quote is referring to harsh judgment without mercy. It's wrong to judge a person but it's not wrong to point out to them that certain behaviors are sinful and should be repented of.
James 5:19 Brothers, if anyone among you err from the truth, and if anyone turns him back, 20 know that he who turns back the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Well, the people you are more likely to notice as Christians are the ones who are evangelical and try to witness to other people, especially through a fire and brimestone method. If you do not feel it is your right to pass judgement on other's sins you're less likely to be recognized as a Christian because you're not putting yourself out there. The Christians who are less judgemental and more understanding are less likely to be taken as a Christian, but more likely to be taken as a good friend.

Least followed of Christ's admonishments? How about the following:
mar 10.21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
Mar 10:22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
Mar 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
Mar 10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
Nobody, not even the fundies, follows THAT little commandment

Well it must be you as you're obviously casting stones at others, and there's no WAY you'd be anything less than sin-free to do that, right?
Do I get the 10 points for being spot on?

well i know i will never earn the right, all fall short of the glory of God, it is only through the blood of Christ that i will make it to heaven, on my own merit i would be bound for Hell. No judgments here, honey just acceptance.
