Hi... I'd like some opinions plz..... I am growing my hair out and its about 6 inches on the top and sides and back now, sort of below collar length at the back and below my nose at the front and covering my ears lol. I want to keep growing it and normally i wear a baseball cap to cover it and keep it out of the way. Me and my mom are going to a sort of dress up restaurant for a party and dinner in a couple of weeks and she's told me that I can't wear my cap at the restaurant. She wants me to tie my hair back out of my face. I've tried just gelling and wax but it doesn't stay back. So, anyway she wants me to tie it in either a half tail or a french braid. Which do you all think is less girlish looking. Any other suggestions other than these two styles?

Go for the french braid if u want a more girlish look. Since u prefer less girlish, then opt for the half tail. Enjoy ur party and dinner gal....

Personally, I think wearing it in a ponytail has a casual sort of look. Wearing it in a French braid looks really dressed up. I have long hair, and I wear it in a braid every day. Not a French braid, just a regular braid. I even play soccer sometimes, and it is the style I wear to soccer.
When I say casual, it probably would mean "less girly" to you, and when I say dressed up, it probably would mean "girly" to you. Sorry, my vocabulary might be a little different.

I think that a french-braid would look less girly, just because its more out of your face, and can be pulled back tighter than a half pony-tail. Hope this helped, and have fun and the party!

i would prombly say a fish tail cause u r a guy and alot of gurls were a french braid and not soo many a fish tail!!

i think you should go for the french braid its simple yet tasteful.or you could wear a ponytail.halle berry wore it to the grammy awards,or some other big event.
