i'm impressed that you've considered to ask him out. you are not one who believes the guy should make the first move. can you tell if he is interested in you? sometimes it's easier when we know it's not just one way on our part. even if it is, casual interesting conversation to start is good. then you can complement him on his smile or his wit or how interesting his job is. then when your ready, you can state that you liked talking with him and you'd like to meet him again. i hope it works out for you!

Joke around. It is extremely easy to blurt stuff out and pretend that you were joking about it if he gets bothered by it. And if he doesnt get bothered by it......COOL......!
