Use fun furs, and texured materials to make covers for chairs, pillows, shams, cover a lampshade and trim it with beads and fun yarns. To brighten the room you can paint good sized flat unframed canvases(you can used ones and paint over them and they will be textured and have dimension also) and paint them with the colors(spraypaint, latex, or acrylic) you mentioned and then use them for bulletin boards, a place to make a grouping of smaller framed or unframed photos, or hang your jewlery on one for bling! Use fake fur to make a valance and then hang nice lace panels. This will join the look of the wood with your fun colors and age.Use a canvas as large as your room permits, or use in a certain area, paint it to match the fun stuff and use a polycoat to cover it and use it for a rug. Or sew several large pieces of different colors, or one color, of the fur for a cozy rug that is sure to brighten your beautiful wood floors. You might use a solid bedspread ,since you are using so many colors all throughout the room, maybe a fur or lace dust ruffle with matching sham. Sounds fun and bright. Have fun! The use of color is also something very personal. It stimulates our senses, power our mood, and helps create a particular ambiance. How we respond to an individual color depends on our nature, extroverts tend to feel happy with bold colors, while introverts prefer more passive colors.

Through using specific combinations of color, combined with a careful consideration of simple color schemes is often the most effective.

Try not to use more than one or two principal colors in a room, as well as a contrasting or balancing tone. The best way to choose a background color for the room is to trial with a palette of different shades and tones, in combination with the color and textures of the furniture and materials. Remember the general color schemes of a home have to be in agreement. The walls define the space in a room, while the colors, to a large degree, define the mood.

Colored light, furnishing materials, and structural proportions, we can create a home that is welcoming, helpful, and comfortable. Walls are similar to background music: each color tone is like a musical note can create a pleasant-sounding harmony while others grate with each other.

The color with which we surround ourselves will without doubt have an effect on us, and so it is important to feel comfortable with our choice. A discussion with a professional color consultant can help to decide individual needs and select appropriate color.

Colors can be divided into three main groups: those that stimulate and uplift, those that relax and calm, and those that provide harmony or balance. So, having taken a number of things into thought when decorating a room, such as the size of the space, the amount of light, the function if the room, and the style and mood we wish to create, we finally, and most importantly, need to consider the needs of the people who use it.

Try target online, marshalls or TJ maxx. All those stores are generally well priced and have amazing selection and stuff to choose from. I got tones of stuff for my room there. I chose a bohemion theme and have to get a lot of random things: all were cheap and fun and amazing haha. Have fun and good luck!

My suggestion would be to pick 3 colors out. I think your trying to use to many. My opinion. Also, if you are going to use these colors I think you need to paint your slats if you have slats of wood one color on the first board then the second then the third then repeat. After that I would stain over to calm the room down. Depending on your age would depend on the accessories. If your juvenile I would have the colors of shear hanging down above your bed. Like I said alot of it depends on your age.

Try this for some great kitsch. Everything is $14.99 or less. Great for people who don't want to spend a lot.
