I have black tightly curled hair. My hair has never been permed, relaxed or texturizer before. It cropped to my neck. I have never dyed it before. I always wear my hair out and only put my hair in a bun when I go to sleep. I wear a silk scarf to protect it and I use combs not brushes. My last hair trimming has been june 17 and I have been using DooGro organic products and using olive oil, shea butter oil, carrot oil, vitamin E oil, Tea Tree Oil, Jojoba oil for a few weeks, I eat pretty healthy like 1400-1600 calories a day.

It sounds like you are taking very good care of your hair. A healthy persons hair should on average, grow one half inch per month. The bad news is that with your hair being curly, it is harder to tell that your hair is getting longer. You are supposed to get your hair trimmed every 6 - 8 weeks to remove split ends.So if you think about it, when you are getting a trim every 8 weeks and they are removing 1/2 inch to an inch, they are removing the same amount that has grown in. I also wonder about all the product that you are using, If you are using that many oils you are definately clogging your hair follicles. I would ask your stylist exactly which ones you should be using and remove the others from your hair care regimen. Also I would remind your stylist when you sit in their chair, that you _only__ want the split or dead ends removed. Lastly, don't give up, your hair will eventually get as long as you want it. At least you know that you are taking very good care of the hair you have now, while waiting for the length you desire to grow in.

none of that stuff is important. look at your family tree. your hair may not grow quickly, but it sounds beautiful, especially since you've got it all oiled and shining. just chill. have you considered locking it?

have you tried going out and buying a chia pet? you could use it on your head. no, i'm kidding. maybe you are using too many different kinds of product on your hair. have you tried letting it go and NOT using anything? just wondering.
