Ahh... ever heard of the 10 Commandments? Thou shall not kill? Ring any bells???

my answer to this question is you have to read the bible a little more closely... it clearly states god will forgive a person for anything!!! all you have to do is as for forgiveness no matter what the sin is and how old it is he will forgive you.

You should delete this message or we'll have some major massacres on our hands. You have a point though.

Is this ? concerning abortion? The Bible and God forbid you to kill or murder an innocent person. However, the Bible does say that He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins ( 1 john 1:9) if we confess our sins. And yes murder in any capacity is a sin. Now regarding the deaths that occur in war that is a different category in the Bible. The defense of homeland or family and property are rights given by God Himself and God gives us the ability to protect them. The Bible says that God will cast our iniquity or sin into the depth of the sea and that He will remove our sin and put it as far as east is from west--- the point is the 2 never really meet. So God will fully forgive and forget.
Yes God can and does forgive for murder-- whether it be your innocent child, a stranger, your spouse--- God will forgive you.
He forgave King David for killing Bathesheba's husband Uriah.

This question raises some questions.
1) God will forgive you of any sin you ask forgiveness for but with this proviso: you have to repent also.
That means you have to turn from your sins and start living a new life. You can only do this if you give your life to Christ and let Him live through you.
2) If you murdered someone you must make amends for it. That means you have to turn yourself in and accept the punishment for your crime. God forgives you but doesn't necessarily clean up the consequences of your actions.
3) If you got an abortion then see question # 1. God expects you to respect your own life and, not only that, to respect the lives of the children He gives you. He didn't give you this life so you could flush it down the toilet. If you expect God to forgive you than you have to turn from your old behavior (including sex with men who aren't going to be there for you when something like this happens) and start living the new life I mentioned before.
Remember, you cannot live this new life under your own power--you will fail. You need to give your life to Christ and let Him guide you in all that you do. The joy that He gives you will more then fill the gap that your "empty pleasures" covered up before.
God bless you!

I don't believe in gods or the Bible, but if you read the Bible even more closely, you'll notice that it says you not only have to ask for forgiveness, but you have to repent. You also have to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.

And actually, the Bible doesn't forbid you from killing. It forbids you from murdering. God himself has ordered people to kill each other in the Bible. The definition of murder is "unlawful killing." So all of our soldiers who are killing people overseas aren't really doing anything wrong, since the government told them to do it.
