cat food

You can feed a street cat anything, but it is better to feed them some kind of cat food since it is designed for their bodies. Most street cats are not picky with food, but I have noticed almost all cats prefer the canned food. Make sure to give the cat water as well. One little thing though...if you feed stray cats...know this...they will ALWAYS come back. So be prepared for future visits.

By all means, don't feed the cat any bones--or milk or milk products. A good brand of cat food, either wet or dry. I feed my cat 1/2 can of Fancy Feast in the morning and the other half at night. I keep dry food down for her to nibble on during the day if she is hungry. I do feed her some chicken (cooked in microwave), but that is not her principal meal.

Feed a stray cat some cat food and water. My cats only eat dry cat food. Do not give a cat milk to drink; it is not good for them. Your stray may have found a new home.

Contact Best Friends Network or Alley Cat Allies. They have information on the care and shelter for stray cats.

Stray cats eat just about anything. We use Mackerel to trap them when doing TNR. (trap, neuter, release)

Dry food is good, but many need the added benefit of soft food. Plenty of fresh water is also essential.

You can feed her cat food, meat, cheese, milk, water, but make sure you give her a large portion because usually if it's a girl cat she has kids so the food is not going to be just for her, it's for her kittens too.

PS: Put the food outside your house because you don't want her to give you germs, every time she comes in.

If your going to keep the street cat, you could feed it. but if you feel sorry for it, and want to feed it the cat will keep coming to your house expecting for more. But, anyways, you could feed it an outdoor formula cat food (dry is the best for those cats) and hopefully it won't come back. Good-luck!

Did you mean a Stray Cat or Street Cat?
Either way - get them some dry food.
Maybe a bit of milk.
I'll come to you for food!

Don't feed him, unless you're intent on adopting him. You'll only attract more strays.

If you ARE going to adopt him, feed him regular cat food and take him to the vet ASAP for a checkup. Strays often come with little suprises in the form of parasites.

I feed a stray outside that I give dry cat chow to. The carbs aren't great for indoor cats, but outdoor cats often are malnourished. So feed away! And good for you!

Cat food is best. If it is an adult dry food is good enough. If it is a kitten, canned food mixed with dry food.

Never give cats or dogs milk from the dairy case. It will give them the runs.

Also put a bowl of water out for it.

See if you can catch it and try to find it a good home.
