mexicans-the only illegals in usa?

it seems to me that americans are only fired up on mexicans,
what about people from other countries?
how about haitians?jamaicans?europeans?
or it's all the same-illegals are illegals

It's true that there's many illegal aliens from countries other than Mexico. The only reason that Americans are "fired up" about mexicans is that the country resides just across the border. Another reason may be is because we get more immigrants, illegal or legal, from Mexico than any other country.

To colortx - it's NEVER too late to address this issue! Thank God it has FINALLY come to the attention of people all over the USA instead of just in the border states and cities. An election is coming up and this is a very good time to be addressing this issue. People are seeing their hospitals and schools being closed down due to overuse of illegals and that alone brings this issue to the fore.

Mexicans are obviously the largest proportion of illegal immigrants in the USA and they are also the most prominent and vocal, actually proudly pointing themselves out to the public recently, in their marches and demonstrations and demands. A lot of Americans maybe had their heads in the sand until this time when it was suddenly brought to their attention just how bad the situation is and so Americans want to see something done about it ASAP.

Anyways, you got one thing right: Illegals are illegals, regardless of where they originate from. Treat them all the same - deport them all! No amnesty for ANY illegal immigrants!

They are not the only ones, but they are the majority, they have the easiest access, the least dangerous probably too (even though it is not easy), but you do not see other illegals acting the way mexicans did the other day.... it is not easy for other people.... haitians, jamaicans, europeans as you suggested to come over here.... they do have to get on a plane, which means they got here legally for a while, but over stayed their time..... otherwise they would be imprisioned or deported..... they get deported and imprisoned all the time, but we never hear about it.... other countries are not treated in the same way as these mexicans or even cubans.... they get deported, they get detained, even little kids.....so they keep their mouths shut and don't complain..... mexicans are the ones who riled up and so attention was paid to them.... people of other countries have to learn to assimulate also.... so they are less obvious..... they speak english (most of them learn to speak english in their home countries if they are not native english speakers).

No. Mexicans are not the ONLY ILLEGAL ALIENS in the USA.
If illegal aliens should live the country then only the Native Americans would stay in this land as original locals.
It's funny that there's a lot of people that had come to this country as immigrants and now want illegal immigrants to leave the country. Personally, I think it is their poor self confidence and the inability to share.
Come on, we are all immigrants, no matter if your parents came to this country in a plane, boat or running through the border. There's no difference at all...it's just what the politicians want and we fall in their silly game....good luck...

Since they are so close to us, they are targeted. But you are right, many more come from all over the world, no one seems to care about those illegals.

I just think for some it is about racism. Others are concerned about the overpopulation of our country, the financial burden it causes, and I guess the eventual take over of our country.

Its silly since illegal entry to this country has been going on for generations. The illegals from Mexico have been coming way before anyone even cared, many were already here and indigenous to the land.

Since Americans have their panties all in a twist about it, they missed the boat about 30 years ago, this issue should have been addressed, its a little too late to change something that started generations ago....

Illegals are all illegals, I want them all deported. However, we have a big problem with our southern border, anyone can get through. If a low skilled, poor person can make it through, what is stopping someone from the middle east who is educated, has resources, and intends to do us harm. Statiscally speaking, Mexican people are 57% of the illegal population, and are also the most vocal and organized. This is why it is often easier to target them rather than a Honduran or Irish person.

Why do you people keep saying that? No one here says that except for the illegal Mexicans and their supporters. All ILLEGALS and CRIMINALS and pose a threat to NATIONAL SECURITY! I don't care where someone is from. If they are here illegally they need to be kicked out. I think many people focus on primarily Mexicans because their attitudes are so bad and they think they should get everything for free without paying into the system. They disrespect the good citizens here, not to mention they are big law breakers. They refuse to learn the language here. To put it in a nutshell, they are very arrogant and use sheer stupidity to argue with.

This isn't much of a point. There is not a flood of europeans sneaking across the boader. The volume of people is the issue, not the people themselves. Do you leave your doors open at night for just anybody? Wouldn't you at least want to know a little about them?
