You can't. Instead, you need to confront your fears and concerns. You need to ask yourself how realistic your fears are. You need to ask yourself if there's anything you can do to address those fears. You need to be mindful of what is going on in that head of yours so that you can become aware of a fear and label it as what it is - a thought.
Once you can objectify the thoughts in your head from your sense of self, from your ego, then you are on the path to being OK.
And honestly, aren't we all a little too mature to have to believe in a god for everything to "be OK?" To be a real, genuine person is to accept doubt and questioning and self-examination. The belief in a god is a prophylactic (a protection) against critical thinking.

The real world is the one that includes all life. Nature decides if a species will survive by the contribution it makes to the usefulness of it's environment. The world itself is OK because it all works together. The human race, on the other hand, is trying to 'conquer' the nature it came from without considering that we are part of the world we live in, and we (being supposedly intelligent) are responsible for accumulating enough wisdom to figure this out before we consume all the resources we will need to continue as a species. There are parts of the world which are OK, and parts which are not. Which one you choose to be is up to you and whether you cooperate or compete with the rest of the universe.
I don't know how you got the idea that people who believe in God will know anything more than you, except how to ignore knowledge (this is called Blind Faith) in favor of heavenly promises.

The world is not OK no matter what you believe or don't believe in. The question is are we smart enough to fix the damage before it's too late? To stop burning so much fossil fuel, the entire human population could agree to go easy on the reproduction thing for a while. Doesn't mean you can't have relations. This is where religion gets to be a dangerous thing, one of the main culprits of gobal overpopulation and by logical extension, why the atmosphere is so polluted.

Belief in God can often turn responsibility for one's own actions (and the actions of society of a whole) over to an invisible force. This gives comfort because it doesn't matter what you do because the Puppetmaster will decide what is going to happen. And if you've decided that the Puppetmaster is a happy friendly grandpa, then, hey, the world is at it should be. Have a nice nap!
However, if you don't believe in God, you have to take responsibility for your own actions and those of the society in which you live. This makes the world a scarier place, but you can take comfort in the fact that humanity is working in a rather remarkably ordered fashion.

The world is what you percieve it to be. If you rely solely on the evening news as your guide, then the world is a dark, evil place full of corruption. However, what happens when you go on vacation? Suppose you go to the Grand Canyon or Yosemite for a week. As you soak in nature's grandour, how does the world look now? Always remember, news programs make their money from bad, not good news. By and large, there's a lot more good than bad

Find something to believe in! You can't make every thing in the world go the way you want (There is always a con side) but you can change some things. Find a purpose and focus on making a difference. People with passion and purpose make their world OK.

To me it was impossible. With the horrible things that happen to innocent people on a daily basis it just does not make sense. If there is a God than even though these things are hard to understand, we trust that they are for some greater purpose yet to come. But if there is not a greater guiding principle than life just sucks and is incomprehensible. It is a choice we all get to make as to which idea we believe.

You will NEVER be confident that the world will be okay unless you accept Jesus. Everyone is born with a God shaped void in their heart that can only be filled by God. Until you accept this truth, you will never know true confidence and true joy that comes by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Just because you don't believe in God doesn't mean that he does not exist.Everyone has their own beliefs and their own ideas about how the world evolved. I myself believe in the theory of Evolution and to me that is perfectly O.K. That does not mean that you are a bad person. Don't ever feel or let anyone tell you that you are wrong!!!

Things are unfolding as they should..
Everyone one of us has to make a choice, compassion (sympathetic feelings, pity, mercy), love.. vs uncompassionate, hatred. We all need to get a grip and realize we have only one world, and that we're all part of mankind.
Even if you don't believe, why not pick up a bible, and read? Try the New Living Daily Devotional Bible: ISBN 1-59145-102-7 It's easy to read, and understand.

Thats the problem with the world today. It's not ok because people have no faith and they don't believe that there is someone that can fix it for us. There is a God and, if you give him a chance then he will amaze you!
