I really do not think you understand the historical underpinnings of the meaning of the cross. Crucifixion was a form of torture and death used by the Roman Empire as a sign.....the crosses were hung outside the gates of the city as a warning to all that entered there. HINT, HINT---dont 'do' this or this will be your fate.

Criminals, murderers, the lowest of the low were the ones that were crucified. The word for 'cross' was sooooo nasty a word that it was considered vulgar to say in 'nice company'.

The dichotomy of the cross being the means by which eternal salvation was brought into the world is quite interesting. An instrument of torture would bring about forgiveness of sins and life everlasting.....

Who would have thought.....

Once again you have mixed up the symbol with the message. Jesus lived and died; God raised Jesus from the dead; and Jesus will return. We are in the return part. If wearing anything around your neck keeps you focus, fine.

Christians focus on the cross not because it was the "murder weapon" but because of what it symbolizes. It symbolizes the fact that He died on there for us. FOR OUR SIN! :) It's amazing He did this for us! :)

Why do Christian's glorify the murder weapon? It is certainly not unique to Christ.
